G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra

G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra

G.I. Joe is not a person, it’s an elite military group. You don’t apply to be part of the group, they ask you if they think you are fit for the task.

Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) are part of a NATO troop that have a mission to deliver warheads to NATO. The warheads contain a new weapon based on nanotechnology. Each one of the warheads have the capability to destroy an entire city. The company behind the technology is MARS, lead by weapons expert James McCullen (Christopher Eccleston). James has his own plans for the warheads, and that does not include letting them get to their destination.

The NATO troop is ambushed by The Baroness (Sienna Miller) during a mission. As the fight goes on, Duke recognizes the Baroness to be his ex-fiancee Ana. They are both a bit surprised to be meeting in such a manor. A team of G.I. Joes comes to the rescue, and the bad guys are fight of, for now.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

This is about the beginning, where werewolves became Lycans. It’s the story of Victor and Lucien. It’s the story of how the war once started.

When we first get acquainted with Victor and Lucien in this movie, Lucien, and the rest of the Lycans, is nothing more then slaves, the daytime guards for the vampire clan. Victor is a vampire elder, a rather ruthless one as well.

Victor have a daughter, Sonja. Sonja is not the most obeying and loyal of daughters, she often defies direct order of the vampire elders, especially those from her father.

She misses more of the council meetings then she attends to. Rides of in the woods fighting werewolves, risking her life.

Legally Blondes (aka Legally Blonde 3)

Legally Blondes

Legally Blondes

I watched this movie some time ago but for various reasons never got around to blog about it. Figured it was about time now 🙂

This movie, which is labeled as the third Legally Blonde movie, does not feature Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) as main character. In fact she’s not even in the movie, other then as a side figure. Although Reese Witherspoon is one of the producers behind the movie.

The main characters of this one is Elle Woods young twin cousins Izzy and Annie Woods (Becky Rosso and Milly Rosso). The twins of course like pink, and they are blonde. I say of course as that is to be expected since the movie after all is a sequel to Legally Blonde 2.

Gran Torino

The movie is about Walt Kowalski (played by Clint Eastwood), a grumpy war veteran. We first meet him at the funeral of his late wife Dorothy.

Walt is a lonely old man a bit estranged from his family, his two sons and their families visit as little as possible. They even try to get Walt into a retirement home at one point. Walt is definitely not amused by that idea and throws them out of the house.

Walt does not like the fact that the neighborhood isn’t what it used to be, there’s to many immigrants there for his likening. He is basically the only Caucasian American left in the neighborhood. His nearest next door neighbor is a Hmong family consisting of Thao, a young teenager pressured by his cousin to join the gang, Thao’s sister Sue and their widowed mother and their grandmother.

Against his will Walt is dragged into the next door families problems. It all starts out when Thao, as a initiation test to his cousins gang, tries to steal Walt’s precious Ford Gran Torino. Thao fails. Embarrassed of the incident the old fashioned grandmother forces Thao to pay of the dept by for a full week be at Walt’s disposal, to help him out.

Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

The Film starts with all kinds of mayhem bridges falling down, Muggles getting scared.

Death Eaters are everywhere aswell. Then Lord Voldemort appears in the sky, While Harry is sitting in a cafe on a Tube station trying to get a date with a girl who works there. Then out of nowhere Dumbledore appears and eventually sends Harry to the Weasley House where Hermione is already. Ron and Hermione both tell Harry that their Parents dont want them going back to Hogwarts and it’s time Dumbledore retired.

Anyways they do go to Hogwarts and it appears that Malfoy is a death eater now aswell (No surprise their really). Anyways  Harry goes to see Dumbledore and see’s Dumbledores memory of when he first met Voldemort it turned out Voldemort was in a childrens home coz his parents didnt want him coz he did weird stuff like start fires with just his mind and that.  In between all this their is the teen angst of love Ron and Hermione and Harry and Ginnie Weasley.

After a while though Dumbledore tells Harry that Voldemort has horcruxes that keep his soul alive so if he dies he doesnt he just finds a horcrux and to defeat Voldemort they have to find the Horcruxes and smash them up. So Dumbledore and Harry set off to find them, They end up in a cave and have to sail across a lake. Dumbledore tells Harry that no matter what he has to make Dumbledore drink the liquid so Dumbledore starts drinking it then wants to stop. Harry makes him carry on though so he finishes it and Harry gets the Horcrux. Then they set off back to Hogwarts when they arrive their Dumbledore then tells Harry to go get Snape. So Harry goes then he hears voices so he just hides. The voice turned out to belong to Malfoy who was threatening to kill Dumbledore. Dumbledore said he couldnt go through it.

Then Snape comes along see’s Harry, Dmubledore,Malfoy and Death eaters. Then one of them dies…

All in all a very good film with great special effects although my Daughter and I have been discussing which is better film or books i say book she said movie although she hasnt read the books lol.
