This movie is set to take place in an alternate world, where superheroes are a part of society. The watchmen are a group of superheroes that helped fight crimes until they were outlawed by the government.

The story begun with the Minutemen, a group of eight masked vigilantes that finished the job where the law couldn’t as a response to a rising number of gangs and and criminals being masked.

The Watchmen were formed decades later in an attempt to form a similar group as the Minutemen, some are relatives to the original Minutemen.

In the 1980’s they are outlawed by the congress. Though not all stop the work. Two are legally active, The Comedian and Dr. Manhattan, their activities are sanctioned by the government. One remains secretly active, Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley).

This movie starts with the murder of Edward Blake, now an elder man. Rorschach is investigating Edwards murder when he discovers that he was “The Comedian”, one of the former Minutemen.

Rorschach fears that someone is targeting the superheroes and contacts his former partners, Ozymandias (Matthew Goode), Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup), Silk Spectre II (Malin Akerman) and Night Owl II (Patrick Wilson), to warn them. Read the rest of this entry »

The innocent man by John Grisham

This book is a clear step away from his usual writing. Main reason for that is the fact it is a true story. A sad story about the lack of justice in the small town of Ada, Oklahoma.

A young cocktail waitress gets brutally murdered and raped, the investigation turns up very few good leads, in reality none. This is in the year of 1982, DNA testing has not yet been discovered. The only solid evidence are some hairs found on and around the body, and a bloody palm print on the wall.

After a long time of investigation and hitting the wall a name comes up. Ron Williamson, a has been baseball player that never made it into the major leagues. Booze, drugs and women got the better of him, so now he lives in his old boys room at his mothers place. Lucky number Slevin

Lucky number SlevinIt’s a good movie, about a guy, Slevin (Josh Hartnett), that’s kind of get in the jam when he is misstaken for being Nick Fisher. Nick is a old friend of Slevins living in New York. Slevin goes there for a visit after loosing his job and finding his girlfriend in bed with another man. He just need a bit of scenery change, Nick told him while inviting him over.

However Nick isn’t answering his phone and isn’t at home as agreed, but his apartment is unlocked so Slevin walks in and makes himself at home, taking a shower. For a good while in the start Slevin walks around in nothing but a towel… Read the rest of this entry »
